Charlie was nominated and shortlisted by the Panel because, not only is he still in Education, but he makes the effort to give back to the local community, he is patient and teaches his young team to enjoy football and be happy, he is always willing to learn and he takes his role seriously. The Children he coaches think the world of him and so do the parents.

Kate was nominated and shortlisted because she is patient, caring and teaches girls to have team spirit and believe they can achieve anything they put their mind to, on top of having many other commitments, the girls, club and parents appreciate everything she does for them.

This is not the first year of success in these awards. Last year, the u15s Lionesses Coach, Kate Holden won the coach of the year award.
